Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler Review

Several months ago, I was in desperate need of a new eyelash curler after my previous ones had tore out some of my eyelashes - not a pretty site. After that, I threw them out right away so I'd never be tempted to try and use them again, even if they were the only ones I had. So there I was, eyelash curler-less for a couple months. (I know, first world problems.) But finally, my shipment from Shu Uemura arrived. And just in time too because they just had their friends and family sale! So I was pretty excited to try out the internet-acclaimed "best eyelash curler."

Best of the Balms

Of the many beauty products out there, my absolute addiction stems mainly from lip balms. What else is more moisturizing and heavenly to the lips than a lip balm? Now add some tint to that lip balm, and you have the perfect casual lip product. Over the years I've collected quite a few lip balms. This list is a compilation of my favorite lip balms of all time.

It's The Little Things

Once in awhile, when life takes you through a whirlwind of craziness, it's important to just take a moment and pause. These past few months, I've been busy with almost every aspect of my life. But, it's a great kind of busy. The kind that of busy that keeps me up late at night because I'm so busy typing up the next post. Either that or I'm working or spending time with people.

With the start of my blog, the days seem shorter, the hours fewer. That's why it's so important to just take a step back and examine everything. Every tiny detail. That's where all the goodies in life are. It's the little things that me smile. To be honest, it's been hard taking a step back lately. This year is almost half way over. And, well tomorrow, I'll be turning a whole year older.

Latest Beauty Haul

Over the past few months, I've accumulated quite a few new stuff. I've been venturing with different brush brands, trying to see which ones are better than others before I buy an entire set from a brand. Here I've decided to get some Too Faced Brushes. I needed some high quality brushes that I could take traveling with me and this one seems like the best option so far. The bristles are oh so soft. Can't wait to do a review on this one as well. The other brush is Japonesque Flat Eye Brush is 219. I honestly wasn't really liking the Mac one that I had. So I decided to give this one a go. I'm pretty excited because I've never tried Japonesque before but I've heard good things.

NOTD: Sinful Colors in Island Coral

I'm not sure why, but I've been pretty obsessed with looking for the perfect coral lately. It's been an adventure looking for the perfect color and formula. I finally found the color, but it's going to cost $29 from Nars. I mean, I'm looking but I'm also looking on a budget. So I've finally decided on this lovely color, Island Coral from Sinful Colors. It's my first time trying anything from this brand, so it was quite risky. Here's my review.

Ipsy June 2013

This June, Ipsy has decided to go "on the wild side" with glittery fun things. After seeing the spoilers running around the internet, I was pretty excited for this bag. I know I was supposed to be cancel last month, but because last months bag was so awesome, I decided to keep them until I receive a bag I absolutely dislike.

Harney & Sons Pomegranite Oolong Tea

Several months ago, I had the fortune of trying out Harney & Sons Pomegranite Tea when I visited the good old boyfriend. I was amused over how much of a tea fan he had become. This is one of the first I've tried from his picks. I have to say, it's pretty good!

Let's Stay Connected, Shall We?

Hi There!
I hope you're having a fine morning. The other night, I had a nightmare GFC (Google Reader) had already gone down and that I had lost nearly half of all my readers. Thankfully, it was just that - a nightmare. Instead, GFC (Google Reader) will close down on July 1st, 2013. The date is set. Are you ready?

If you're reading my posts via Google Reader or the Blogger Feed, then past July 1st, you may not see my posts anymore. To stay connected, you can choose from many different reader feeds such as Pulse, which is ideal if you're not just read blogs, but other news sites and magazines. Then there are others such as Feedly and Flipboard. But my ultimate favorite is Bloglovin.

June Wish List

Lately I've been trying to focus less on the things I want, and more on the things I absolutely need. This past weather has really been tricky to work with. I want to go out in my spring wardrobe full of all these girly dresses and frills but instead walk out in rain boots and my black raincoat. Where has my summer gone?

Too Faced Air Buffed BB Cream Review

I've been wanting to try a really good BB cream lately. After swatching everything at Sephora for a little bit, I decided to pick this up because of it's swatch in store. The swatch came out full coverage, not cakey at all, and very smooth. I checked Sephora and makeupalley for reviews, but at the time, it was still new and there were no reviews just yet. I decided to take my chances with this one.

Bobbi Brown Calypso Creamy Matte Lipstick Review & Swatch + LOTN

Recently, Bobbi Brown introduced these creamy matte lipsticks. I've finally been able to snag one and it's been quite a journey with this lipstick. At first, I thought it was too bold for my simple every day / night looks. I've never really worn quite a bright fuchsia pink before. So this one was my way of kicking the door of my comfort zone and trying something new. I have to say, I'm quite pleased.

Caudalie Divine Oil Review

So, I was kind of a noob when I first took these shots. I assure you, these were taken early in the days of blogging. (So please don't mind the awkward photo.) Anyway, onto the review.

I first heard of Caudalie Divine Oil from a friend, BluChiffon, who raved about just how awesome this oil is. She uses it alone as a body moisturizer. As someone who has dryer skin, I supplement my daily lotion with this oil.  You can use this on your hair, face and body. I've tried it once on my face and started freaking out when it just felt too oily and my pores felt gross. I tried it on my hair, but my hair is already an oil slick without the added oil. So that wasn't too nice. For me the best use was my body.

What's In My Makeup Bag

picture of lipstick, lotion, perfume,

This Spring has been a mix of cold rainy weather and random bursts of sunshine. With that said, my hands still get dry. TBS Hemp Hand Protector is a thick lotion perfect for dry hands. This is probably the thickest, creamiest lotion I've got. Sexy Little Things by VS is a blend of citrus and flowers. Perfect for bringing out the sun behind the clouds. I've been wearing this a lot because it seems to be fitting my mood at the moment. It cheers up the day and awakens me. Mirabella Lipstick: I threw this in when I realized how absolutely moisturizing it was. It's nice enough to be a lip balm. I throw it between lip balm and lipstick. Maybelline L/S in Shocking Coral: Bright and summery, perfect for sunny days. Love the formula, color and wear. I'll be doing a full review of this soon. And do you recognize that bag? It's last month's Ipsy Bag! Lol, I never realized how handy it would come.

May Favorites!

This month, I've been using a lot of different products. With the temperatures changing sporadically, I feel like its been hard trying to put spring into full gear. It's been rainy and cold one day, with the next being sunny and in the 80's. I think its time mother nature made up her mind.
