Happy Holidays from MakeupWithTea

I hope your holidays were just about everything you've wanted it to be! I've never realized how hard it was to keep up a blog during the holidays while working too. It's quite a feat. To all those bloggers that can do that, you have amazing time management skills. Maybe this year I'll have better luck keeping up posts while on the holidays. Well anyway, I wanted to write a few things in this article. The first is a Thank You to my readers who have really kept up on reading my blog. I love you guys! Second is to reflect on the past year. Third is to let you know about further upcoming posts. If you're curious, read on. :)

Thank You.
To my dearest readers, I cannot thank you enough for all the lovely comments, the fact that you guys read my little space on the net. It means a lot. I've made quite a few friends over the year and I'm really hoping to keep up those friendships. So cheers to a new year!

Reflections.
This past year my blog has grown to a point where I'm surprised it was still growing after I had small bouts of being MIA. I also look back to some of things I've written in the past, from my very first posts, to the my very recent posts. And I see growth. While I do cringe at seeing newbie photographs, I realize that it's all just part of the growing process. So if you want to see some of my beginner photography skills, scroll all the way to the beginning. Or not. You may not want to hurt your eyes.

Evolving.
So I have noticed, that as time passes by, I do crave new designs/layouts. So you may see a change in design/photography. I've also upgraded (during the holidays) to a macro camera. So you may see a difference in photography. Let me know if you like the updates or not. I'm always open to new ideas and criticism.

So Cheers to a new year!

  5. Thanks so much Angela! How I took the photograph: I took my camera: a Sony alpha100 DSLR (very first model) and used a Macro lens. Then edited it on photoshop. I used squares to add the borders. And then used squares again to empty out the square, giving me a border. Then I added a layer to kind of make the boxes look fuzzier/greener and changed the opacity to really low. Hope this helped! :D

  11. Thanks so much Steph!! For my camera I used an a100 sony dslr with a macro lens. For the layout, I adjusted the basic layout with the rounded corners.
