Tarte Blush in Exposed Review and Swatches

So this is a little late, but better late than never right? Anyway, I'd like to present you guys with the Tarte's Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed. It's been reviewed pretty highly and I'd just like to add my take on it.

According to Tarte's Website:
A long-wearing, supremely soft blush infused with Amazonian clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun.

Packaging: (5/5)

The blush is packaged in sturdy circular plastic container. It doesn't look tacky or cheap, which I absolutely love.

Color: (5/5)

On the pan, it looks quite ... boring. I've never really owned a blush so nude in color. The color is a very muted nude mauve with undertones of light brown. No glitter here - which I do like. Swatched on my skin it, the color becomes more alive and much more heavily pigmented. Swatched on my cheeks, it comes out into a very lovely, natural muted mauvey rose color. I really love how it looks. Plush it's very hard to over do it.

Longevity: (3/5)
This claims to continue to stay on for 12 hours. On a regular day, it'll stay on. However, when it gets really hot (especially these summer months), it doesn't really stay on. It'll probably stay on for about a full three hours before it melts away. Womp womp. But! On a good day however, this thing will last me all the way until I remove my makeup.

Pricing and Availability:(4/5)
This blush is available at your local Sephora, Ulta, or online at Sephora, Ulta and Tarte's website for $26.00. It is a little pricey for a blush, but just around average for a high end blush. (I admit though, I don't think I could pay anymore for a blush than this.)

Overall: (4.3/5)
Overall, I believe I've fallen in love with the color much more than the wear time. Most of my makeup doesn't stay on me forever during these hot days anyway. As you can see from the photographs, I've been using it quite heavily these past few months. It's become my favorite go-to blush (even more-so than Nars Orgasm.) Here's a picture of me with this blush.

  3. Aww thanks Hiroko!

You should try it! Especially since she owns it! I was actually have second thoughts getting this because I've never owned any color so nude looking. But once swatched, honestly, I fell in love with it! It's not that bland when swatched. :)
