Five Back-to-School Tips: Beauty Edition

Whether you're stepping foot in a dormitory for the first time or going back to high school, I'm sure one thing's for certain - less time for makeup. That's right - get ready for that late night cramming, studying with your date, and/or late night college parties! Here, I'll show you how to look good without spending too much time in the mirror, so you'll have more time for, well, studying (and having fun).

1.) BB Cream is a Time Saver
BB Cream is a crucial time saver as it covers moisturizer, primer and tinted moisturizer. So when you're pressed for time, but still want to have a decent complexion plus still get the SPF your skin needs, BB Cream is a awesome. I have to admit though - it is a little trickier to find one in a great shade. I recommend you trying it out first in store, or checking online at Temptalia's Foundation Matrix to see what colors best fit you. You can also use Makeupalley.com to find out what kind of BB Creams work well with your skin. So far, I've heard many great things about Missha's and Dior's BB Cream.

2.) Tinted Lip Balms are Your Best Friends
Don't want to look too overdone for that afternoon study break, but still want to look polished? Tinted lip balm is a great way to look polished and natural without looking too overdone. Save that red lipstick for a night at the club or a party with friends. I recommend Revlon's Lip Butters, Maybelline's Color Whispers, or Tarte's Chubby Pencils.

3.) Take It Off!
I cannot stress this enough. I know that it's so much easier to fall asleep after cramming for tomorrow's test, but trust me on this one, you're going to wish you'd taken off that makeup. If you leave makeup on for too long, it can clog pores and thus... creating larger pores? Plus don't get me started on the bacterial build up. Anyway, for fast and easy makeup removal, I'd recommend The Body's Shops Camomile Makeup Remover. They're currently re-doing their entire line but this makeup remover has been saving my butt over the years. Also, taking care of your skin works wonders in the long run - which means less time trying to cover up.

4.) Tinted Eyebrow Gels
If you have sparse eyebrows, and even sparser time to fill them in, tinted eyebrow gels are a great way to add some color while shaping them. I'm really loving Benefit's Brow Gel as it does wonders to add color in a natural, undetectable way while also grooming them.

5.) Carry an Emergency Makeup Stash
Whether you're running late to class or you just broke up with your S/O or you're sweating like a pig after gym class, an emergency makeup stash will be beyond useful. I'm sure you can think of other reasons you'll need this emergency stash. I'd like to note, that it's important you keep it small. If you want to keep in your bag everywhere you go, it's really imperative that you keep it down to a limited size. I'd recommend only putting your favorite eyeliner, one lipstick, one lip balm, blotting papers and face powder. I know, it does sound like quite a lot, but I assure you, if you can fit all of these things inside a pencil case, you'll be more likely to carry it everywhere.
