So this is pretty much late because I signed up late and got a late
bag. That's a lot of "late's" in that sentence huh? Anyway, I have to
say that I'm really excited for this months bag. I've been looking up
Ipsy's recent bags and honestly I haven't really been impressed with
their size of samples - hence why I've never subbed. But this bag is
honestly just - wow. Much more than you could expect from a bag with a
$10 price tag.
A Little History:
Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription started by Michelle Phan several years ago. For $10, you get several sample - full sized items. Here's what's in the bag:
Mirabella Lipstick $22: This is one of the reasons I subbed. A full sized lipstick in a beauty bag? I could not say no. The color I received was a sheer pale nude color. When swatched on my skin, it looked like a glossy sheen than anything else. When on my lips, it completely washed me out. But the formula was absolutely divine. Very moisturizing, hydrating, and comfortable to wear. I was so tempted to buy more, I actually did look. But they're pretty hard to come by right now.
Pacifica Perfume in Island Vanilla:
A full sized perfume roll-on in the scent Island Vanilla. As it's name implies, it smells like vanilla. I kind of wish I got a different scent and I'm not really much of a vanilla person. I would've preferred the more floral Tahitian Gardenia but it's okay.
Zoya Nail Polish:
This was the second reason I subbed this month. This Zoya Nail polish pretty much pays for the whole thing itself. And full sized too! I received a nude pink color which is great because I don't have a nude pink nail polish yet.
Concealer in Yaby:
I tried this out the other day and while it is full coverage, it's simply too light for my skin tone.
Anastasia Brow Gel:
I've actually recently finished a tube of this so this was a nice addition to the collection. The gel is clear and provides enough hold for unruly stray brows.
Overall:
I'm very pleased with this bag. I've started using a lot of the products and the makeup bag itself is pretty cute! It's size is perfect for throwing into a medium sized purse. For $10, I received several full sized items, many of which I'll be using.
